Dr. Karyn Plumm
Open Forum: Thursday, February 5 at 2:00 p.m. Williams 111
Dr. Plumm is currently serving as the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Studies & Student Success at the University of North Dakota. She is a dedicated faculty member and administrator whose work is guided by a deep commitment to helping students achieve their educational goals. She believes strongly in the use of data, cross-campus collaboration, and clear communication to inform strategic decision-making. Currently, she oversees a large and dynamic unit and has played a key role in unifying student success efforts that have contributed to increased enrollment and retention.

Dr. Marko Dumančić
Open Forum: Monday, February 9 at 2:00 p.m. Circus Room
Dr. Dumančić is Associate Provost for Undergraduate Education at Miami University, where he leads campuswide efforts to improve curricular coherence, academic advising, and pedagogical innovation. His work focuses on increasing the effectiveness and impact of undergraduate education through experiential learning and data-informed decision making. Trained as a historian of modern Russia and Eastern Europe, he continues to teach and publish while serving in academic leadership. Marko has led cross-college reform initiatives, faculty development programs, and large-scale student success strategies. He is especially interested in how universities can balance innovation, access, and academic rigor while remaining attentive to faculty and staff wellbeing and the realities of initiative fatigue.

Dr. Alan J. Rieck
Open Forum: Thursday, February 12 at 2:00 p.m. Circus Room
Dr. Alan J. Rieck, Ph.D. is a senior academic leader with extensive experience advancing undergraduate education, student success, and academic quality. He has held leadership roles at Penn State, the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire, Northern Arizona University, and the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Dr. Rieck’s work centers on inclusive excellence, curricular coherence, faculty partnership, and the use of evidence to improve student learning, persistence, and degree completion. He is known for collaborative leadership, thoughtful stewardship of academic programs, and a strong commitment to helping all students thrive through high-quality, accessible undergraduate education.
