Teaching Strand
February 16 or 17, from noon - 1:00 p.m. (same session offered twice)Nearly every discipline involves some need for skill development and also basic knowledge and understanding. Chapters 4 and 5 describe how knowledge can be complex, involving technical language, difficult concepts, and complex relationships among ideas. In this session, we will explore strategies for developing clear learning outcomes, various ways we can assess our learning outcomes, and how to structure the learning activities in ways that contribute to meaningful learning.
