- Should we consider a “climate survey” of the staff in Academic Affairs? What other types of information/data should we collect to assess needs?

Work Group Goals and Major Initiatives
- Identify systems, supports, and resources we have in place for supporting faculty development and success in the following areas: teaching, scholarship, career-advancement, career satisfaction, well-being/work-life balance. Consider post-COVID landscape and approach work with a diversity, equity, and inclusion lens.
- Identify indicators of faculty success for each area and the type of data we are collecting. Determine the kind of data we are missing and what we need to collect to better support faculty.
- Make recommendations for developing or considering new support systems, programs, partnerships, or resources to support faculty at all stages of their academic journeys. Explore the literature on best practices that support faculty success in all areas described and investigate what other institutions are doing to promote faculty success.
