2017-2018 Illinois State University Leadership Initiative
The purpose of the Illinois State University Leadership Initiative is to provide interested members of the ISU community with opportunities to develop their leadership potential. The 2017-2018 program will represent the seventh year of the initiative. This year-long program will consist of both large group and small group gatherings focused on topics important for leaders.
A major theme for this year’s leadership initiative will be on facing the major challenges for higher education in the next 15 to 20 years. We are inviting nominations of participants who are interested in contributing to the university by developing their understanding of these issues and their professional skills to deal with them.
Criteria for Eligibility:
This year’s program is open to faculty and staff from all divisions (i.e., Academic Affairs, Finance and Planning, Student Affairs, University Advancement, and areas with direct report to the President) of the University who: (1) have demonstrated leadership potential, (2) are interested in further developing their leadership skills and competencies, (3) have potential to benefit from the program, and (4) are committed to the University including its core values. Nominees may only participate in this program once.
Nominations are due to the respective Dean/VP/Assistant to the President by May 22, 2017. Endorsed nominations are due from the Dean/VP/Assistant to the President by June 2, 2017.
